Here are just a few examples of what our satisfied customers think of our work and their new pools:
DEAR FIBERGLASS POOL DEPOT,
I have been meaning to write for some time to thank you and let you know what a pleasure it has been dealing with your company. After relocating to the Raleigh area in 2004, and decided to add a pool to our recently completed home we assessed the different pool types, spoke with local pool owners about their experiences, and interviewed local builders. After previously owning in-ground liner and concrete pools, and researching various fiberglass pool manufacturers once we sat down and spoke to you, we knew San Juan Pools of Raleigh was the best company to install our pool.
As you know our desire was to create a mini-retreat in the in the backyard of our new home, anchored by a pool that could be integrated into the natural landscape, adapt to the changing needs of our family, provide cost efficient operation, be easily sustainable, safe, swimmer friendly, and overall provide for a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable source of recreation for our family and friends for year's to come. From the beginning to the very end of the project, the design and equipment recommendations, information, and advice you and your team provided resulted in the best possible outcome.
WOW! This is now the best way to describe how we feel every time we step into our backyard to enjoy our pool. Your advice leading to our selecting the San Juan "Luxor"-shallow pool, along with Aqua Logic Salt/Chlorine Generator system, Pentair natural 40,000 btu gas fired heater, and Aquamatic automatic safety pool cover, and operational equipment have all turned out to be right on the money when it comes to meeting our needs.
The design of the Luxor- shallow provides the room we were looking for to swim laps, and the smooth surface of a fiberglass pool, along with the design give us the flexible recreational type pool we desired for younger and older guests. Then, when coupled with the pool design the three sheer descent waterfalls, two hidden lighted laminar flow fountains, fiber optic lighting package, waterline ceramic tile, natural bull nose stone coping, and ceramic deck tile create a dramatic, fun and beautifully relaxing atmosphere. The pool you helped us create supplies all the functionality we desired; provides the ease of maintenance we required; and in a community of small children, via the automatic safety cover, affords the safety we sought.
The professionalism, expertise, knowledge and customer first attitude both you and tour team have exhibited from our first meeting, to the day of excavation began, and then every day since has been above reproach. Other pool providers have construction crews and staff, but you and your team are true "professionals" who possess not only the ability to hear what the customer wants, but the experience to know when something needs to be done before a potential problem occurs. In a pool of many builders and dealers the Fiberglass Pool Depot stands out as a truly top tier organization.
The end result of your companies' efforts and those of your recommended subcontractors is simply FANTASTIC! A mini-retreat with few equals. Without a doubt, your company is one of the most reliable, honest, and customer focused companies we've ever worked with. We have never had as wonderful an experience with any other company. I believe excellent service deserves recognition and want to thank you for your attentiveness to every detail regarding our pool, the great service provided during the construction process and, moreover the caring attitude your company has demonstrated long after the project has been completed.
We receive so many compliments from visitors to our home and without hesitation would recommend The Fiberglass Pool Depot for anyone considering a new pool!!
Sincerely,
Bill Keiper
Ken,
I wanted to write and thank you regarding our experience with your company. Our pool search started back in October of 2001 when we began to consider the different varieties of pools. It seemed the liner pools had the advantage of being less expensive initially, the concrete pools had the advantage of being any shape you wanted, but cost more than vinyl and had re-occurring maintenance cost. The fiberglass pool to us was the best choice. It may cost more than a liner type pool, but over its life, we felt would be the most cost effective to maintain. Our kids also would also come home with scraped feet every time they came back from their grand-parents concrete pool, so we really liked the idea of a pool made of very smooth fiberglass. I did a bit of research and found you to be the leader in fiberglass pools, which is how we got up with you initially.
Throughout the project you were always available to answer all of our questions patiently. Of all the subcontractors involved, you were the only one who did what you said you were going to do when you said you were going to do it. You returned all of my many phone calls promptly.
Your advice on opinions, decking, and landscaping all turned out to be invaluable. I especially remember wondering if we really needed the fiber optic system. I am so happy we took your advice there. The first time we swam at night we saw why, it’s really great.
After the pool was installed, you came by and gave us easy to understand instructions on how to operate our pool. When the powder from the stamped concrete got all over the tile, you came out and cleaned it all up.
If I had to do it all over again, I would again choose a San Juan Pool and choose you to do it for us. The project has exceeded our expectations making us very happy. I would also highly recommend the recreational design we purchased if many kids are involved. You can just hold so many more people in the pool this way and they all have more fun. I also think the kids enjoy the slide way more than they would have enjoyed a diving board.
When I see our 3 kids and several others out there having a blast, I know this project has been worthwhile. I know in the future, I will not have to worry about where my kids are; they will be home in the backyard having fun. I also know I will not have to worry that much with maintenance. With the robot cleaner and a fiberglass surface, there is really not that much to it. The best part though, is after a stressful day at work, climbing up that 8-foot slide and hitting the water for the first time! What a great way to get refreshed.
Thanks again for all your help and advice.
The Shaws
To Whom It May Concern
In August of 2001, we contacted Fiberglass Pools of Raleigh because of a recommendation from a good friend. Kent Carpenter, President of LPR, called and scheduled a time to come and evaluate our site. Not only was Kent right on time, he offered many valuable suggestions regarding the placement and style of pool.
We originally had decided on a conventional rectangular pool with an 8-foot depth for diving. Kent simply asked how many family members liked to dive and I answered that none did. With that, he suggested a more shallow design, the Olympus, with an attached spa. Not only stand in the shallow end whereas with the Olympus, we have the use of the entire pool plus a spa. A very obvious point but I had not thought of it.
On the prearranged date of installation, Kent and his crw were here at 7 A.M. In 5 days, we were using the pool. The entire system is absolutely flawless with no problems. We also have a hydraulic cover that can just expose the spa–portion for cool nights. This option is well worth the cost in just maintenance alone.
I cannot say enough about Kent and Fiberglass Pools of Raleigh. Sometimes you will have misgivings about recommending a company or trade. I have NONE with Kent or LPR. The product is excellent and Kent and his team just made it even better.
Sincerely,
Herb Gregory
Dear Kent,
Let me say that it was a lucky day for me when we stopped at the Home and Garden Exposition in Raleigh and saw your display. Little did I know how much a pool would change my life. At this point, my husband has been calling me his hero, as I exercise and swim in the pool everyday that we’re home; the coldest days of winter don’t stop me, nor does the worry about maintaining the pool, and I’ve already gotten friends to order San Juan pools, based on their delight at finding a pleasant and easy to maintain pool.
Starting at the installation, which took about a day, everything about this pool has been wonderful. The fiberglass construction means that the surface of the pool is smooth, keeping me from scraping my toes on a rough surface and, even more meaningful, keeping the chemicals from leaching out and dirt from sticking to the pool surfaces. In addition of an easy to roll back pool cover has meant that I rarely have to add chemicals or water and that leaves and debris stay out of the water. It also keeps in the heat so that the pool is always ready for swimming.
You are a major part of the success of the pool for me, as every time I had the smallest question or problem, you returned my calls immediately and made sure that the problem was solved (or the question answered) fully to my satisfaction as quickly as possible. It has been a wonderful experience, and I only regret that we cannot build several pools so that we can have the pleasure of your careful guidance several times over.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Salzhauer
When I was a child I spent many hot summers in North Carolina! My cousins and I liked to play with our Match Box Cars in the back yard, building roads in the dirt and imaginary dream houses where we'd dig a small hole, line it with aluminum foil and fill it with water and a drop of blue food coloring for our swimming pool! We lived for the days our parents would take us to the "community swimming pool" to get cool and enjoy swimming! So I guess you could say I've always wanted a pool of my own!
I began the process of looking for a pool 2 years ago. I was recommended by a friend at work to look at the Fiberglass Pools of Raleigh. I called and had information sent and their sales manager was at our house a day later. He looked over the back yard and worked on some figures for several pool sizes and left us to digest the information. Not being one to jump on the first thing we see, we decided to shop around. We knew we wanted a fiberglass pool so I started surfing the web to find other manufacturers and information on the different types of fiberglass and surfaces. I spent the next winter researching and talking to different people. I called one local company and stopped by their office to pick up information. It took them 2 months to actually come out to my house to measure and take the information they needed to do an estimate. They did take me around to show me some of their other installations, but the pools were all small and none of them were deeper than 5' something. I Then called another pool manufacturer who made deeper bigger pools and due to some change of ownership/lawsuit type thing going on, couldn't put me in touch with a dealer or send me any information on pricing for around 3 or 4 months. They basically told me to call back after the lawsuit was finalized! After pushing and prodding these other people for nearly a year I took this as a "sign" and called the sales manager at Fiberglass Pools of Ralegih again! The next morning at 7:30 AM Bonnie was at our home with new information, prices, and technical answers to all our questions! We had a ton of questions about how things work, pumps, filters, heaters, etc, and traded many emails with Bonnie on these subjects before we made the final decision!
We tend to analyze everything to death! Bonnie never lost it with us! We went to some of their installations. We talked to the home owners and heard nothing but praises for everyone involved in the installation.
I wanted to compare sizes and options so I took a trip to Dunn to see the pools on their lot. This was a big help! You really get a feel for the size of these pools when you're standing next to them out of the ground! While there I talked to Kent about the pool, the electrical spec's and some of the other pools I'd looked at. Kent showed me the difference in the fiberglass material's and explained why fiberglass was the better choice. Believe me, when you're spending this much money on something you want to make sure you are making the right choice! Everyone at Fiberglass Pools of Raleigh knows this and were very patient and helpful.
We began the installation back in October. Hubert and his crew pulled up to the house and began digging! Hubert has been doing their pools for years and watching the entire installation was certainly an educational experience! Until now I thought, how hard could it be to dig a hole? After excavation of the hole and preparing the bottom, they only had to raise the pool shell out "one time" to adjust the sand! Installing a pool and doing it right is not an easy task. It involves a lot of thought and hard work. We are do-it-yourself if you want it done right people, but after seeing it I understand why you want to have someone with experience doing the installation. It's very important they get it straight and level, before the water goes in!
After talking to my own Electrician about doing pools, we decided to have him add the breakers to our house and put a 100amp service by the pool. Then we used Don Pearce to do the Pool electrical work as he does all of the San Juan pool work and knows how to do them like the back of his hand. He did a great job, everything was very neat and he even marked all the "grounds" with red paint for the inspector! The electrical inspector was very impressed with the job and said Don did a good job and made it really easy for him to see that it was all done right!
After the pool equipment was installed and connected Phil came out to get it all setup and go over how to operate it. I thought it would be more complicated, but it's really very simple to operate and take care of. Their choice of equipment makes it easier for the home owner to maintain. I love the lights! They will either strobe through all the colors or you can set it on one color.
For the pool deck we decided on doing what they call Knockdown finish. They poured the concrete first, waited to let it cure then did the knockdown and color/sealer. We had a stray dog wander across it and leave red muddy footprints! I was surprised that it hosed right off the sealed side! This will be easier to clean than plain concrete!
Installing a pool is similar to building a house! There are lots of things that can be frustrating, the weather being the primary source of frustration! The people at Fiberglass Pools of Raleigh realize this and will do everything in their power to make each part of the process flow smoothly! We're very pleased with our new pool and our new friends at Fiberglass Pools of Raleigh!
